Day 1: Hanoi – Museum of Ethnology – Night Train to Sapa
At 08:30, departure from your hotel for a cultural immersion at the Museum of Ethnology, a true window into Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups, showcasing their traditional houses, costumes, and craftsmanship.
After a typical lunch, the afternoon invites you to stroll through the 36 Streets Quarter, the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, filled with handicrafts, bustling markets, and colonial charm.
In the evening, dinner at leisure, then at 21:00, board the night train to Lào Cai, comfortably settled in your sleeper cabin, ready for your mountain adventure.

Day 2: Sapa – Mount Fansipan – Tả Giàng Phình
Arrival in Lào Cai at 05:30, transfer to Sapa and breakfast.
At 08:30, head towards Mount Fansipan, the “Roof of Indochina” standing at 3,143 m. The cable car carries you above the clouds, offering breathtaking panoramas of mountains and valleys. Explore the pagodas and statues at the summit before enjoying lunch in Sapa.
In the afternoon, drive to Tả Giàng Phình village, inhabited by the H’Mông people, where traditions and terraced rice fields transport you to another world.
Enjoy a convivial dinner and an overnight stay in a homestay for an authentic experience.
Day 3: Sapa – Lao Chải – Tả Van
At 08:30, set out for a gentle hike in the Muong Hoa Valley, renowned for its spectacular terraced rice landscapes. Visit Lao Chải village, home to the Black H’Mông, where wooden houses and rural life reflect perfect harmony with nature. Continue towards Tả Van village, inhabited by the Giay people, nestled deep in the valley. A picnic lunch in nature enhances the hike.
In the afternoon, discover local handicrafts and take part in preparing a traditional meal.
The day ends with a warm dinner and an overnight stay in a guesthouse.
Day 4: Sapa – Bắc Hà
After breakfast, depart at 08:30 for Bắc Hà, following a picturesque mountain road (approx. 3.5 hours). On arrival late morning, check in at the hotel and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon, visit the Hoàng A Tưởng Palace, former residence of a local chief with a unique charm blending oriental and colonial architecture. Afterwards, stroll through a Tay or H’Mông village, where traditions and hospitality reveal the daily life of ethnic minorities.
The evening concludes with a local-flavored dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel in Bắc Hà.
Day 5: Bắc Hà – Ethnic Market
At 08:30, explore the Sunday market of Bắc Hà, the largest in the region. Amidst a whirlwind of colors and scents, you will meet Flower H’Mông, Dao, Tay, and Phu La people, gathered to trade crafts, livestock, and local specialties.
A typical lunch is arranged on-site, right in the middle of the lively atmosphere. In the afternoon, a peaceful boat trip on the Chay River offers stunning views of mountains and stilt villages.
Return to Bắc Hà at the end of the day for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel, in a tranquil atmosphere.
Day 6: Bắc Hà – Hanoi
After breakfast, depart at 08:30 back to Hanoi (about 6 hours’ drive). Lunch will be arranged along the way.
In the afternoon, arrival in the capital, hotel check-in, and free time for a leisurely walk around Hoàn Kiếm Lake, a true symbol of the city. You may stroll through the central streets or simply relax.
In the evening, dinner at leisure and an overnight stay at the hotel in Hanoi, at the crossroads of modernity and tradition.
Day 7: Hanoi – Hạ Long Bay
At 08:30, depart for the legendary Hạ Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site. After around 3.5 hours of driving, embark at 12:00 on a traditional junk boat for a unique cruise among limestone formations.
Seafood lunch onboard, followed by an afternoon visit to an impressive cave and, weather permitting, the chance to kayak or swim. At sunset, the limestone peaks are bathed in golden light before a refined dinner.

Day 8: Hạ Long – Hanoi
At 06:30, join a tai chi session on deck, surrounded by the serenity of sunrise over the bay.
After breakfast, the cruise continues at 08:30, giving you one last glimpse of this extraordinary landscape. A hearty brunch is served before disembarkation at 12:00. Return by road to Hanoi, with arrival scheduled in the late afternoon. This marks the end of a journey filled with emotions, blending culture, encounters, and breathtaking scenery.
